2011 had again a lonely number one: Sébastien Loeb. The frenchman has been the undiscussed Number One since more than 8 years. WoR Ratings started in 2005 and Sébastien has always been on top. If the world's top ten rally drivers are mostly driving in the WRC, the 2011 rankings have allowed Luca Rossetti to climb up to 7th position. This thanks to his victory in the European championship. WOR wants to the most reliable source for rally driver rankings. To do this, it needs to have the most objective championship ranking as possible. Up to 2011, every championship received a ranking between 2 and 10 according to its importance. This was decided subjectively and by trial and error. Though not wrong, this system didn´t integrate factors like number of participants in the rally, the level of the participants, their teams and their cars.
